This Chardonnay by Hofstatter comes from those grapes grown within parcels that are characterized by a mainly marly subsoil, subject to rapid heating. After the rigorously manual harvest, the bunches are destemmed and the grapes are lightly pressed, separating the residues from the must through precipitation. The must ferments in steel containers, and still in steel the wine remains to mature for a few months on the lees, until the Hofstatter cellar decides to proceed with the operations of bottling .

Features: Straw yellow of good intensity, the nose expresses beautiful fruity notes embellished by continuous references to hints of golden apple. The good acidity, combined with a solid pulp and a decisive persistence, represents the right credentials to focus on the possibility of evolution of this wine and on its ability to express itself at its best without declines for at least two years.

Pairings: Light appetizers, fish first courses and white meat second courses.

SIZE / WEIGHT: 0,75 l bottles.

ORIGIN: Trentino Alto-Adige.

GRAPES: 100% Chardonnay.

ALCOHOL: 13,5% vol.

SERVING TEMPERATURE: Temperature between 8/ 10°C.

STORAGE METHOD: in a cool place away from sunlight.

SPECIFIC NOTES: Contains sulphites.

PRODUCER: Estate J. Located in the heart of the historic village of Termeno, our estate extends between the peaks of nearby Trentino and the steep slopes of the Saar, in the Moselle wine region, in Germany. We combine tradition, pioneering spirit, respect for nature and innovation. We love what we do: we live wine. The different terroirs and the different microclimates determine the character of our wines. For five generations we have been cultivating each vine where it can best express itself. Our own vineyards extend on both sides of the Adige valley and at the end of the Ronchi valley in Trentino. Since 2014 we have been producing our Rieslings in the Moselle, the most suitable wine-growing area in Germany in the world for this noble variety. Our vines have their roots on plateaus and hills at altitudes ranging between 250 and 850 metres. Depending on which slope they are located on, the rows are reached by fresh mountain breezes or warm south winds, by the morning or evening sun. Ours was the first South Tyrolean company to include the "Vigna" on the label, identifying the wines that come from single vineyards, in the most suitable parcels.

And in the very festive procession of taste, wine sat on the royal throne. Restaurateur and hotelier in upper Friuli, Paron Mario soon realized that his mission was to excite people with his special love for wine and that to really do it, wine had to be produced with his own hands. 1969 was the year in which he acquired the first vineyards in the Collio, the year in which the great adventure began. An enthralling adventure that saw his sons Luciano, Gianfranco and Loris soon after become protagonists. The three made use of their father's teachings, learning to touch and feel the earth, indulge in the passage of time and the seasons, taste the grapes and see the secret of a small, great miracle inside. So in the years to come the lands owned by the family increased and many dreams became reality. That small farm today, with the third generation represented by Marco, Stefano and Mariaelena, has transformed into a winery of international prestige, an ambassador of the Friulian winemaking art in the world. But the origins are not forgotten and, above all, the flame of passion is ever more alive. Once upon a time there was a man, the first hero and author of a fairy tale, who wrote the first page, signing it with an indelible imprint. This book entitled "Fantinel" is to be savored with ecstasy. Wine is an ancient sentiment, a work that makes the world better. It is a mosaic of emotions, a masterpiece composed of precious stones skilfully placed next to each other with genius, creativity and inventiveness. But a good creator knows that every artistic form is born, always and in any case, from the respectful celebration of the original Creation. Honoring the earth is Fantinel's first vocation. A vocation that has its beating heart in Tauriano, near the ancient village of Spilimbergo, a town of culture known throughout the world for its prestigious Mosaic School. Here stands an elegant cellar surrounded by greenery, which takes care of the management of over 300 hectares of vineyards divided into the renowned DOC areas Grave, Prosecco, Collio. Unique terroirs, privileged areas that enjoy ideal microclimates for optimal fruit ripening and the maximum expression of each vine, among which the highly prized native grapes stand out. From these authentic caskets of rare gifts the peculiar conception of Fantinel was coined: a viticulture that is viticulture. Because only a vine that grows according to natural rhythms, based on respect for the vegetative cycle and the balance of the plant, can give life to rich fruit and, naturally, to majestic wines: harmonious paintings that radiate the sunlight, releasing the infinite shades of earth colors.

He dreamed of producing elegant and rich wines, obtained not only from native Sangiovese grapes, but also from those of his beloved Bordeaux and Burgundy. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay and Pinot Blanc, just to name a few. Sebastiano Cossia Castiglioni, Pepito's son, full-fledged investor and entrepreneur, converted the company to organic viticulture in 1988, making Querciabella one of the first wineries in Italy to make use of this practice. Under his leadership, Querciabella became known as one of Italy's best and most innovative winemakers in the early 20th century. Sebastiano's passion for animal rights and environmental protection has taken organic to Querciabella one step further. In 2000 Sebastiano introduced a 100% plant-based approach to biodynamics which prohibits the use of animal products in our vineyards or cellars. Querciabella was once again an innovator in the industry and an inspiration to the region. Today that single hectare in Tuscany is only a small part of the more than 100 hectares of Querciabella vineyards. And in these vibrant vineyards – flanked in the Chianti Classico region by oak groves and rolling hills, and in the Maremma by the rugged beauty of an unspoilt Tuscan coast – all the grape varieties Pepito dreamed of now thrive in the rich, biodynamic soil that has become the most important ingredient in Querciabella's award-winning recipes.

History of borders changed several times, empires disappeared, past wars. of people who stopped here. It is the story of a man who went through two world wars, lived first in the Austro-Hungarian Empire and then in the young Kingdom of Italy, lived on the rocky coast of the Istrian peninsula and in the lagoon Grado. Livio Felluga moved to Friuli in the late 1930s, to settle on the gentle foothills of the Rosazzo hills. His dream of producing hill wine was interrupted by his call to the front. As if that weren't enough, the return to Italy was not easy for the veterans of the Second World War: the physical, political and ethnic borders had changed, distorted forever, like the agricultural and social landscape of the hill itself. The peasant population was leaving, further impoverishing the land and abandoning the crops, values and traditions associated with it. Livio Felluga had to undertake a new battle to resurrect the hill, convinced that only the rebirth of quality cultivation could bring life back to the Friuli countryside. With great courage he began to restore the ancient vineyards of Rosazzo and plant new ones, introducing innovative ideas and methods. Hard work, undertaken with great stubbornness and passion which over the years will lead him to create one of the most beautiful and significant companies in the Belpaese, acquiring the rightful title of re-founder of the Friulian winemaking tradition and reference actor of the Italian wine renaissance .
