The Rosso Montepulciano DOCG Lodola Nuova was born in the Tenuta Lodola Nuova, which is located in the immediate vicinity of the ancient Montepulciano, in Tuscany, a land rich in winemaking traditions, from the estate's vineyards this wine is produced through careful selection in the vineyard of the best grapes. The harvest began at the end of September and ended in mid-October. It matures in barrels of different capacities, for at least 18 months, the refinement takes place after the assembly and a short period of rest in steel where the wine was bottled and further refined in the bottle. The perfume is immediately striking for the inviting intensity of the bouquet, declined on the fruity notes of ripe plum and on others of fresh flowers. Then, in all its fine grandeur, the spicy sweetness, the nut and a fragrant aroma of tobacco are perceived. In the mouth it has an immediate taste with the return of the fruity notes perceived on the nose. The tannin, of great texture, decisive but velvety, fades towards more rounded sensations. With an excellent body, the finish is persistent and satisfying with an almost sweet aftertaste but balanced by a good acidity, with hints of plum and tobacco. It goes well with meat-based first courses, red meat, game, aged cheeses, cured meats, mushrooms.

SIZE / WEIGHT: 0,75 l bottles

ORIGIN: Tuscany.

FEATURES: Noble wine with a deep ruby red colour.

GRAPES: 90% Cabernet, 5% Sauvignon, 5% Merlot.

ALCOHOL: 14% vol.

SERVING TEMPERATURE: Temperature between 14/18°.

STORAGE METHOD: in a cool place away from sunlight.

This portion of the countryside has always been linked to the production of local wines, the white and red of Assisi, once excellent wines without a blazon which, a few years ago, obtained recognition of their quality level with the DOC. A few years ago the Migliosi family, for a long time among the most shrewd and qualified local producers, acquired a splendid estate in the locality in question, the Ponte Rosso, with prestigious vineyards and excellent exposure. Overlooked by the imposing mass of the Sacred Convent of San Francesco and with a spectacular view of the town of Assisi, the estate winds along the valley near the stream. Last but not least, exactly at the beginning of 2020, the Migliosi family decided to acquire vineyards in Gualdo Cattaneo, in the Montefalco DOC area, thus starting the production of two new red wines: Rosso di Montefalco DOC ( a blend) and Sagrantino di Montefalco DOCG (100% Sagrantino). Montefalco and the surrounding area are undoubtedly the most prestigious wine area of Umbria and Sagrantino is becoming increasingly popular both in Italy and abroad due to its uniqueness due to this ancient grape variety impossible to find elsewhere in the rest of Italy. Thanks to an accurate redevelopment and selection work, the vineyards are now able to produce high quality blends with which the fine wines typical of the Assisi area are obtained. To guarantee the highest quality level, the grapes are harvested by hand and selected with cutting-edge technologies directly in the cellar. Furthermore, the entire production is about to be converted into ORGANIC so as to enhance and certify the intact beauty and authenticity of the territory. The stretch of plain that divides the lower slopes of Mount Subasio from the offshoots of the town of Santa Maria degli Angeli is still intact, with the exception of a few rural buildings from the Middle Ages. The Tescio torrent that crosses it flows placidly towards the nearby Chiascio river to become its tributary at the height of the former Benedictine monastery of S. Paolo delle Abbadesse.

The sip is of energetic freshness, with good palatal aromaticity, ripe fruit in the center of the mouth and a pleasant final vivacity. A hymn to the mountain!

Method: The Sauvignon vineyards are grown on mixed soils, with the presence of clays, porphyries, gravel and lime which give a natural minerality to the sip the final. Once the harvest phase is over, maceration on the skins takes place for about 8 hours, followed by a very soft pressing. The must ferments and ages in steel tanks for a few months before being put on the market.

Characteristics: Hofstatter's Sauvignon "Michei" represents a lean and refined version of this famous international variety, with the typical fresh and mineral profile characteristic of mountain wines. Located in the heart of the historic village of Termeno, our estate extends between the peaks of nearby Trentino and the steep slopes of the Saar, in the Moselle wine region, in Germany. We combine tradition, pioneering spirit, respect for nature and innovation. We love what we do: we live wine. The different terroirs and the different microclimates determine the character of our wines. For five generations we have been cultivating each vine where it can best express itself. Our own vineyards extend on both sides of the Adige valley and at the end of the Ronchi valley in Trentino. Since 2014 we have been producing our Rieslings in the Moselle, the most suitable wine-growing area in Germany in the world for this noble variety. Our vines have their roots on plateaus and hills at altitudes ranging between 250 and 850 metres. Depending on which slope they are located on, the rows are reached by fresh mountain breezes or warm south winds, by the morning or evening sun. Ours was the first South Tyrolean company to bring the "Vigna" on the label, identifying the wines that come from single vineyards, in the most suitable parcels.

And in the very festive procession of taste, wine sat on the royal throne. Restaurateur and hotelier in upper Friuli, Paron Mario soon realized that his mission was to excite people with his special love for wine and that to really do it, wine had to be produced with his own hands. 1969 was the year in which he acquired the first vineyards in the Collio, the year in which the great adventure began. An enthralling adventure that saw his sons Luciano, Gianfranco and Loris soon after become protagonists. The three made use of their father's teachings, learning to touch and feel the earth, indulge in the passage of time and the seasons, taste the grapes and see the secret of a small, great miracle inside. So in the years to come the lands owned by the family increased and many dreams became reality. That small farm today, with the third generation represented by Marco, Stefano and Mariaelena, has transformed into a winery of international prestige, an ambassador of the Friulian winemaking art in the world. But the origins are not forgotten and, above all, the flame of passion is ever more alive. Once upon a time there was a man, the first hero and author of a fairy tale, who wrote the first page, signing it with an indelible imprint. This book entitled "Fantinel" is to be savored with ecstasy. Wine is an ancient sentiment, a work that makes the world better. It is a mosaic of emotions, a masterpiece composed of precious stones skilfully placed next to each other with genius, creativity and inventiveness. But a good creator knows that every artistic form is born, always and in any case, from the respectful celebration of the original Creation. Honoring the earth is Fantinel's first vocation. A vocation that has its beating heart in Tauriano, near the ancient village of Spilimbergo, a town of culture known throughout the world for its prestigious Mosaic School. Here stands an elegant cellar surrounded by greenery, which takes care of the management of over 300 hectares of vineyards divided into the renowned DOC areas Grave, Prosecco, Collio. Unique terroirs, privileged areas that enjoy ideal microclimates for optimal fruit ripening and the maximum expression of each vine, among which the highly prized native grapes stand out. From these authentic caskets of rare gifts the peculiar conception of Fantinel was coined: a viticulture that is viticulture. Because only a vine that grows according to natural rhythms, based on respect for the vegetative cycle and the balance of the plant, can give life to rich fruit and, naturally, to majestic wines: harmonious paintings that radiate the sunlight, releasing the infinite shades of earth colors.
