The Sauvignon 'Michei' by Hofstatter is a fresh and finely aromatic white, with a refined and elegant profile. The nose offers a delicate range of nuances, ranging from aromas of gooseberry to aromas of white flowers, from hints of aromatic herbs to sensations of flint. The sip is of energetic freshness, with good palatal aromaticity, ripe fruit in the center of the mouth and a pleasant final vivacity. A hymn to the mountain!

For five generations our family has been cultivating its vineyards on both sides of the Adige valley. Located in the heart of the historic village of Termeno, our estate extends between the peaks of nearby Trentino and the steep slopes of the Saar, in the Moselle wine region, in Germany. We combine tradition, pioneering spirit, respect for nature and innovation. We love what we do: we live wine. The different terroirs and the different microclimates determine the character of our wines. For five generations we have been cultivating each vine where it can best express itself. Our own vineyards extend on both sides of the Adige valley and at the end of the Ronchi valley in Trentino. Since 2014 we have been producing our Rieslings in the Moselle, the most suitable wine-growing area in Germany in the world for this noble variety. Our vines have their roots on plateaus and hills at altitudes ranging between 250 and 850 metres. Depending on which slope they are located on, the rows are reached by fresh mountain breezes or warm south winds, by the morning or evening sun. Ours was the first South Tyrolean company to bring the "Vigna" on the label, identifying the wines that come from single vineyards, in the most suitable parcels.
