Franciacorta DOCG Brut Millesimato "Freccianera" is the first and only Italian brut produced exclusively with refermentation in the bottle to have obtained the Denomination of Controlled and Guaranteed Origin (DOCG) since 1995, maximum recognition of the quality and typicality of a wine . To identify this wine is only the name of the geographical region, limited and defined in its borders, where its vineyards grow and its producers are based. The labels bear only the wording Franciacorta: a single term defines the territory, the production method and the wine. Guarantee for the consumer of the specificity and quality of this product. It takes a very long time to produce Franciacorta: about 7 months after the harvest, the base wine is added to the lees and bottled. A minimum of 18 months (30 and more if we are talking about vintages like this Franciacorta) must pass for slow refermentation in the bottle in contact with the lees before being disgorged.
