Robust, mature, elegant; is the brunello produced by the Antinori family on their estate in Montalcino.

  • Process: The grapes are harvested around mid/late September . Upon arrival in the cellar, the grapes are stemmed and softly pressed. They are then placed in stainless steel containers for alcoholic fermentation, which takes place at a controlled temperature. After malolactic fermentation, the wine is decanted into large oak barrels (between 30 and 80 hl) and ages for about 2 years. It is then bottled where the 5-year period required by the regulations concludes.
  • Characteristics: The wine has a colour bright ruby red. The nose is characterized by notes of red fruits combined with hints of tobacco and spices such as vanilla, cinnamon, cloves and cardamom.
  • Tasting: On the palate it stands out for its balance and finesse; the soft and silky tannins, characteristic of this vintage, are supported by an excellent freshness, capable of giving elegance and gustatory grace.
  • Pairings: It is typically perfect with dishes tasty and spicy red meat or game such as stews, stewed wild boar or deer, braised meat, roasts, roast duck or chicken livers.
