The "San Giorgio" by Lungarotti is an important red, with a good structure and with a considerable potential for evolution over time. It is considered the first real “Superumbrian”. It is customary to use this type of definition, with the name of the region of origin of the wine, preceded by the suffix "Super", to indicate wines produced from blends in which there are also international vines, in particular Bordeaux. The "San Giorgio" was born in 1977 from the skilful union of the native vines of central Italy, Sangiovese and a small percentage of Canaiolo, with the noble Cabernet Sauvignon. Thanks to the perfect balance between the three varieties, Cabernet Sauvignon does not dominate the other grapes, but integrates perfectly, enriching their aromatic profile.
