The Brunello Montalcino docg "Ruffino" on can be considered the quintessence of the wines produced in Montalcino, the Brunello "Tenuta Greppone Mazzi" was born in the homonymous reality that Ruffino can boast in the area. A magical place where the centenary experience of the Tuscan house blends with careful control of every aspect related to production.

This is how a powerful, long-lived red is born, unique in its elegance and charm. The grapes are harvested only by hand. The vinification takes place in steel and the maturation continues in large oak barrels for about 36 months, 12 more than the rules reserved for the production of Brunello. After a short rest in steel for about 6 months, the wine is bottled and further left to refine in the bottle for 8 months. The color is ruby red with garnet reflections, with an intense bouquet of ripe plum, cassis and morello cherry with notes of incense, cocoa, sweet tobacco and black pepper.

The taste is full in the mouth with a elegant and complex. The tannins are well present but rich and soft. It stands out for the balance between red fruit, chocolate and sweet tobacco that accompany the prolonged finish. Brunello di Montalcino Greppone Mazzi is a rich wine with intense aromas that requires hearty dishes, to be enjoyed throughout the meal, goes well with typical dishes of Tuscan cuisine such as rack of lamb, seared duck breast with grilled mushrooms or a first course with wild boar sauce. It is also perfect to accompany cheeses such as Tuscan pecorino or taleggio. It is advisable to drink it in a large tulip-shaped glass, in order to be able to grasp its composite and harmonious bouquet.
