Miele toscano di Eucalipto

Tuscan Eucalyptus honey is compact, with a color that is not too light, which tends to have amber, sometimes almost grayish hues. On closer inspection, it has a very fine particle size and crystallizes in a few months. It has a decisive and strong flavor, a honey with character, with a taste that can be defined as almost balsamic. Some describe it by associating it with the flavor of mushrooms, wood and curry, or with that of helichrysum and licorice sweets. It has important therapeutic properties, as it is used to treat: sore throats, coughs, flu and colds.

ORIGIN: Between Florence and Siena, on the hills that from the ancient Romanesque church of Santo Stefano a Campoli descend gently towards the towns of Mercatale in Val di Pesa and Montefiridofi (300 m asl).

STORAGE METHOD: At room temperature, away from sources of heat, light and humidity. Expiration date 18 months after packaging. Honey, once opened, can be stored outside the refrigerator at a temperature not exceeding 20° and away from light. The high sugar content naturally present in this product prevents bacterial multiplication and the deterioration process.

RECOMMENDED PAIRINGS: Ideal in the classic breakfast on rusks. Those who play sports consume honey. Before, during and after a competition, it fortifies muscles, increases resistance and promotes recovery. It is particularly indicated in the diet for children, in fact, unlike sugar, it favors the fixation of mineral salts; excellent to combine with cheeses.
