Chickpeas are among the valuable typical products of the agri-food heritage of the Umbrian-Marche Apennines. In the kitchen, they adapt to many preparations, especially soups and cold dishes. Our producer's chickpeas are small, smooth and rounded and it is precisely for these characteristics that they differ from the more common chickpeas, which are rough on the surface and have a more elongated shape. They are very tender and have a good protein content and are low in fat. Our chickpeas have the characteristic of keeping their skin intact after cooking, thus making them suitable for the preparation of haute cuisine dishes while maintaining an excellent taste.
