The Cinta Senese is an ancient rustic breed of prized pigs, which takes its name from its area of origin, the hills of the Sienese territory. To fully enjoy the Cinta Senese guanciale it is necessary to extract the rind and cut the product by hand dividing it into strips, at this point it is ready to be used in the preparation of delicious homemade sauces, the main ingredient of amatriciana and carbonara, or simply spread on fresh bread.
The Guanciale di Cinta Senese is a cut crossed by lean veins with a component of fine fat, flavored and seasoned to acquire a characteristic and intense taste.
